Women Leaving Prayer Early and Men Waiting After Imam

Women Leaving After Prayer and Men Waiting

Narrated Umm Salama (RA), the wife of the Prophet (PBUH): In the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (PBUH): the women used to get up when they finished their compulsory Salat (prayers) with Taslim.

The Prophet (PBUH) and the men would stay on at their places as long as Allah will. When the Prophet (PBUH) got up, the men would then get up.

Explanation and Wisdom:

Respect and Safety: Were at the forefront of this practice, allowing women to exit the mosque without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by crowds.

Following the Prophet’s Example: This approach reflects the Prophet’s (PBUH) deep consideration for women, highlighting the importance of giving them precedence after prayer.

Maintaining Order in the Mosque: By taking a moment to wait, the men helped prevent any crowding or confusion, which in turn preserved the appropriate atmosphere within the mosque.

Conclusion:

It shows how the Prophet (PBUH) taught both men and women the importance of practicing proper etiquette.
